Free summertime concerts at Lake Harriet Band Shell have been a tradition since 1888. This charming open-air structure is the fifth facility built on the same site since transit magnate Thomas Lowry built the first pavilion. The band shell hosts diverse music programs and events throughout the summer including jazz, rock, Broadway tunes and classical music concerts.
