"Cherry and Spoon" Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Minneapolis, MN
Frederick R. Weisman gifted the sculpture created by
Claes Oldenburg and his wife
Coosje van Bruggen to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden in 1988 in honor
of his parents, William and Mary Weisman. Officially titled
“Spoonbridge
and Cherry”,
visitors soon began to refer to it as the “Cherry and Spoon”. It is one
of the most visited and photographed landmarks in Minneapolis. |
