"Best Friends"

Height: 2.5 inches; Width: 4.5 inches; Depth: 3inches

This sculpture, "Best Friends", depicts the Royal Guard Dragon "Morning Star" with her best friend, the Forest Fairy "Karena".

After the Royal Guard Dragons' last human Dragon Keeper died, the Royal Guard Dragons had no source of the warm energy they need to survive.  This warm energy is generated by creatures exhibiting kindness, laughter and love.  Karena, normally shy and introverted, overcame her anxiety and eagerly volunteered to be a member of the initial group of Forest Fairies who agreed to provide the Royal Guard Dragons with the warm energy they so urgently needed.

When Karena entered the secret rookery, Morning Star was immediately drawn to the power and purity of the warm energy Karena produced. Although extremely weak, Morning Star used her last energy reserves to drag herself up to Karena and gently wrapped her tail around Karena's legs. Karena responded by softly stroking Morning Star's head while sending Morning Star a flood of loving, warm energy.  From that moment on, they became, and remain, best friends.
