In 1998 a United Nations Archeological Preservation Team discovered the Royal Guard Dragons in the Knarwood Forest in Central Europe. The Royal Guard Dragon Society (RGDS) was formed to study and to protect these marvelous creatures belonging to one of the few remaining species of domesticated dragons. Operating from a secret research facility outside of Austin, Texas, RGDS researchers have learned much about the history of the Royal Guard Dragons and the Royal Guard Dragons’ long relationship with humans. See some of the RGDS researchers' findings below under Royal Guard Dragon Specifics.
Read The Royal Guard Dragons which chronicles the amazing discovery of the Royal Guard Dragons and the results of the RGDS' initial research.

The Royal Guard Dragons introduced RGDS researchers to one of the Forest Fairies who befriended the Royal Guard Dragons when they fled to the Knarwoods to avoid persecution. The Forest Fairy's name is "Star Dancer", a name given to her because she dances among the stars. Every evening Star Dancer would read magical tales to the Royal Guard Dragons and their Forest Friends. When Star Dancer saw the Royal Guard Dragon sculptures she asked if we'd make one of her which we did.
The Royal Guard Dragons have placed several conditions on not only what the Royal Guard Dragon sculptures can be made of but also on who can buy them:
1. The Royal Guard Dragon sculptures must be made of Knarwood.
The Royal Guard Dragons have informed the RGDS that Knarwood is an enchanted material that enables a Royal Guard Dragon sculpture to establish and maintain a cosmic link with the Royal Guard Dragon it depicts. This link allows the subject Royal Guard Dragon to monitor the sculptures surroundings and protect the buyer and his/her loved ones from ghouls, goblins, dark forces and the damaging influences of externally generated cold energy associated with cruelty, intolerance, and hatred.
2. Individuals desiring to purchase Royal Guard Dragon sculptures must demonstrate that they are pure of heart, kind of spirit, and loving. They must also agree to provide the Royal Guard Dragon sculpture with the proper care and attention as specified by the Royal Guard Dragons.
The Royal Guard Dragons have informed us they can not allow their likenesses to be associated with cruel, intolerant, or hateful individuals. The cold energy these type individuals generate would be transmitted through the dragon sculpture's link with its subject Royal Guard Dragon and the subject Royal Guard Dragon great distress. Therefore, a potential buyer must be approved by the subject Royal Guard Dragon before being allowed to purchase the specific Royal Guard Dragon's likeness. This approval process is comprised of two parts:
A. Each potential buyer must submit their order along with the completed questionnaire developed by the Royal Guard Dragons. The subject Royal Guard Dragon will review the questionnaire within 2 days of receipt. If the subject Royal Guard Dragon finds the answers acceptable, she will move on to step "B". If the Subject Royal Guard Dragon does not like the answers, the potential buyer will be notified, the order cancelled and any monies sent with the order returned.
B. The subject Royal Guard Dragon will perform an unannounced visit to the potential buyer's home. During the visit the subject Royal Guard Dragon will remain masked. The purpose of this visit is to allow the subject Royal Guard Dragon to verify the information presented on the questionnaire, and more importantly to sample the quality of the warm energy being generated in the home of the potential buyer. If after the the visit, the subject Royal Guard Dragon gives final approval, the potential buyer's order will be processed. If not, the potential buyer will be notified, the order cancelled and any monies sent with the order returned.
3. All dragon sculptures must be approved by the subject Royal Guard Dragon before they are released to the buyers.
There is no magical reason for this restriction. It turns out that Royal Guard Dragons are somewhat vain and want to make sure any reproductions of their likenesses does them justice.
4. Individuals who purchase Royal Guard Dragon sculptures become honorary RGDS Dragon Keepers and are entered into the RGDS Dragon Keeper database.
5. The RGDS will post notice when each limited edition is sold out. Once a limited edition is sold out, Dragon Keepers desiring to sell their Royal Guard Dragon sculptures can notify the RGDS which will provide their contact information to prospective buyers.
